Addison Group is hiring an experienced Executive Assistant on behalf of our client, a well-established nonprofit organization serving the Washington, DC community. This temporary opportunity will provide direct administrative support within the Executive Office and is ideal for someone who can quickly step into a fast-paced environment with minimal ramp-up time.
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a polished and highly organized Executive Assistant to provide temporary support to senior leadership. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing competing priorities, coordinating complex schedules and preparing materials for executive-level meetings.
This is an approximately four-week assignment with the possibility of extension based on business needs. The ideal candidate will be available to interview and start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to members of the executive leadership team.
- Manage and coordinate complex calendars, appointments and internal meetings.
- Assist with preparing presentations, agendas, meeting documents and other executive materials.
- Draft, format and proofread professional correspondence and communications.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, events and occasional travel.
- Monitor outstanding requests, follow-ups and action items to help keep priorities on track.
- Work closely with other administrative team members to ensure seamless coverage and support.
- Handle shifting priorities with professionalism, discretion and strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience providing executive-level administrative or assistant support.
- Previous experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong calendar management, scheduling and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Nonprofit or professional services experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and step into an established team with minimal training.
- College degree preferred but not required.
Additional Details:
- Approximately 4-week temporary assignment with potential to extend based on business needs.
- Target start date: Wednesday, October 7 at the earliest.
- One 20-minute virtual interview.
- Interview process expected during the week of October 5.
- Fully onsite during the first week, with the potential to transition to 3-4 days onsite thereafter.
- Standard schedule is approximately 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
- Overtime may be available with prior supervisor approval.
- Candidates must be available to commit to the initial four-week assignment.
