QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR - DAY SHIFT

Oklahoma City, OK (Oklahoma City metro) | Full-time, direct hire

Schedule: Full-time, day shift, on-site at the plant; extended hours as production requires

Pay: $21 to $26/hour based on certification level, with room based on experience

- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician: starting at $21/hour

- PCI Level I: starting at $23/hour

- PCI Level II: starting at $24/hour

- PCI Level III: starting at $26/hour

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A precast and prestressed concrete manufacturer serving commercial, institutional and infrastructure construction is adding Quality Control Inspectors at its Oklahoma City plant. Inspectors own product quality from raw materials through finished pieces, working hand in hand with production to catch and correct issues before product ships.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Perform dimensional checks on product per QC procedure

- Work with production to correct deficiencies

- Perform concrete tests, including cylinder compression testing, and generate reports and legible records

- Inspect raw materials and product placement before casting

- Complete pre-pour quality checks and post-production verification and labeling

- Inspect finishing processes (sandblasting, water washing) for compliance with specifications

- Prepare and distribute deficiency and rejection reports

WHAT YOU NEED

- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification, or PCI Quality Control Level I, II or III certification

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework preferred

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, precast concrete preferred

- Ability to read and interpret prints and piece tickets

- Computer skills: Windows, Word and Excel

- Clear verbal and written communication

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Precast plant and outdoor yard environment

- Must be able to climb ladders and work extended hours when needed
