About the Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals to lead fulfilling and independent lives. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the lives of the individuals we serve and their families, helping them navigate the path toward self-advocacy, community integration, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be responsible for tasks such as:

• Assisting individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
• Utilizing a Hoyer lift to safely transfer individuals as needed.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to promote a positive and inclusive environment.
• Supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals and fostering independence.
• Maintaining accurate records and reports as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who has:

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, providing personal care or support services.
• The ability to safely and effectively use a Hoyer lift.
• A compassionate and patient demeanor, with excellent communication skills.
• A strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
