About DelRicht ResearchDelRicht Research is a national network of integrated clinical research sites embedded within physician practices, combining dedicated local research teams with the support and capabilities of a centralized organization.
Our clinical trials provide new treatment options for patients, and ultimately our goal is to move medicine forward by helping bring new medications through the clinical research process toward FDA approval. Today, our network includes 33 clinical research sites across 18 states.
NOTE: This is a full-time, onsite position in New Orleans, LA. We believe in-person collaboration is key to our success. This position is not available for hybrid or remote work, and preference will be given to local applicants.
Job OverviewAs the FP&A Lead, you will play a critical role in helping DelRicht understand where the business is headed and translating that visibility into better decisions.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will partner with executives, clinical site leadership, and other cross-functional stakeholders to own and improve key elements of the company's forecasting and planning processes. You will develop forward-looking financial and operational forecasts, identify emerging risks and opportunities, evaluate business scenarios, and translate complex financial and operational data into actionable recommendations for leadership.
This is a highly visible role for someone who combines strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities with business judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain forward-looking revenue, expense, profitability, and operational forecasts across the organization
- Partner with clinical site and functional leadership across the U.S. to understand business performance, forecast future results, and identify emerging risks and opportunities
- Support the company's long-range planning process, translating operational assumptions and strategic initiatives into financial projections
- Build scenario models that help leadership evaluate investments, resource needs, growth opportunities, and other strategic decisions
- Analyze actual financial and operational performance against forecasts, budgets, and key performance indicators, clearly identifying the underlying drivers of variances
- Conduct in-depth analysis of clinical research data to evaluate study, site, and company performance
- Translate complex financial and operational datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership
- Prepare and present executive-level financial reports, dashboards, forecasts, and ad hoc analyses
- Partner closely with the Data Science & Engineering team to improve financial data, reporting, forecasting capabilities, and information products
- Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, automate recurring analysis, and continuously improve FP&A processes and tools
- Support strategic and ad hoc analyses for the CFO and executive leadership team
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on quantitative coursework, preferably Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 4–8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, management consulting, or another highly analytical business environment
- Strong financial modeling skills and advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial forecasts and translate business assumptions into financial outcomes
- Experience analyzing large or complex datasets and distilling findings into actionable business insights
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and other resources to accelerate analysis, independently solve problems, and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- MBA or CPA
- Experience with visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other analytical tools
- Experience partnering with Data Science, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence teams
- Previous clinical research, healthcare, or multi-site operations experience
- Produce exceptionally accurate work and demonstrate an extremely high attention to detail
- Be a data-driven storyteller who can synthesize complex datasets into actionable executive-level insights using structured analysis and effective visualization
- Think beyond reporting what happened and proactively identify what is likely to happen next, why it matters, and what the business should consider doing about it
- Solve problems independently while exercising sound judgment when the path forward is unclear
- Be intellectually curious and naturally seek to understand the operational drivers behind financial results
- Effectively manage multiple competing priorities while consistently meeting tight deadlines
