General Labor – Production Work
Location: Crest Hill, IL
Monday through Friday
1st shift: 5 am-1:30 pm
2nd shift: 1pm- 9pm
3rd shift 9 pm- 5:30
Pay: $17.51 - $18.51
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire.
Position Summary: We are hiring General Labor Production Associates to work in a food manufacturing facility producing pizza products. This position works directly on the production floor and is responsible for assisting with production, packaging, labeling, rework, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.This is a Monday through Friday, 1st-shift, temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
Responsibilities

• Work on a fast-paced production line manufacturing pizza products.
• Feed pans and trays onto the production line while keeping pace with production.
• Package, re-case, repackage, and perform product rework as assigned.
• Apply shipping labels accurately.
• Verify production codes, labels, packaging, and materials.
• Prepare materials and equipment before and during production.
• Read production codes and make basic adjustments to coder machines when needed.
• Follow all Safety, GMP, Quality, Food Safety, and plant procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Properly reseal and return unused materials at the end of production.
• Clean and shut down coding and taping equipment at the end of the shift.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting when production issues occur.
• Help train other associates when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in cold temperatures.
• Reliable attendance is required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to read safety rules, procedures, labels, and operating instructions.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Willingness to learn and train other associates.
