Local CDL Class B Box Reefer Truck Driver - FT - $21-$23/hr - Home Daily - Durham/RDU

Cavalier Logistics is seeking a full-time professional CDL Class B Truck Driver for deliveries.

Why drive for Cavalier

• Pay: $21.00 $23.00/hour, based on experience, with overtime paid after 40 hours.
• Schedule: Monday Friday, day shift / start time. Home every night on local routes with only occasional regional/over-the-road runs.
• Equipment: 26' box truck, late-model and well maintained.
• Freight: Steady airport (RDU) and customer deliveries.

This position will be responsible for the safe operation of company equipment and timely, courteous delivery of product to our customers.

What you'll do

• Run local routes in a 26' box truck, with occasional regional/over-the-road runs.
• Pick up and deliver general and specialized freight (palletized, packaged or loose) using a pallet jack and liftgate.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep your ELD logs current.
• Keep dispatch updated on your ETA, road conditions and any issues.

What you need

• A valid CDL Class B (Class A welcome).
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
• A good driving record.
• The ability to lift 40 lbs.
• A professional, customer-friendly attitude.
• Ability to pass DOT drug tests and background checks.
• A high school diploma or GED.
