Our client, a leading customer service and field operations organization, is seeking a Inventory Clerk to join their team. As a Inventory Clerk, you will be part of the Customer Service Material Logistics (CSML) organization supporting field spare parts, tools, and test inventory. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving, a detail-oriented mindset for accounting-grade accuracy, and the self-motivation to stay productive in a remote work environment.
Job Title: Inventory Clerk
Location: Cary, NC (Remote after initial onboarding; candidates must reside in the Raleigh-Durham area for in-person orientation and equipment pickup)
Pay Range: $32/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
What's the Job?
- Manage consignment, trunk stock, and tool inventory for the CX Field organization, ensuring accurate availability and reporting.
- Support the field with spare parts and tool & test inventories by providing inventory support services over the phone and online.
- Assist with inventory reporting and analysis, including reconciliation of inventory between SAP, field partners, and calibration records with minimal variance.
- Prepare for and execute annual physical inventory activities in line with accounting guidelines, including coordination, scheduling, and follow-up.
- Handle inventory-related error resolution such as service report errors, incorrect billing reversals, serial number escalations, PO posting errors, and tool order failures.
What's Needed?
- Associates Degree (BS in Supply Chain Logistics preferred).
- Inventory and logistics experience (ideal 5-8 years; 1-2 years considered) with demonstrated success in inventory management responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail to meet standards for accounting processes and audit readiness.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel basics such as lookups).
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly as workflows change daily.
