Service Technician

Job Summary

The Service Technician operates a mobile service vehicle and travels to customer sites to diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment and machinery. Responsibilities include complete component removal, disassembly, reconditioning, and reassembly according to technical manuals while delivering high-quality, efficient, and profitable service. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required to support customer needs and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations and perform in-field diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Diagnose, inspect, repair, recondition, assemble, and service heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Perform complete component removal, disassembly, reconditioning, and reassembly following technical manuals.
  • Document machine information, repairs completed, and parts/fluids used on work orders.
  • Serve as a field representative, providing service solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and communicate customer service opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Maintain a clean work area and properly care for tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
  • Keep current on technical and product knowledge for supported equipment.
  • Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional image with customers and the community.
  • Participate in company-sponsored training and development programs.
  • Attend company meetings, huddles, and communication events.
  • Build positive working relationships with customers, peers, management, and support teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to assemble, disassemble, maintain, and repair heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, pneumatic tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license in accordance with company policy.
  • Strong computer skills for work-order documentation and technical reference use.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow technical manuals, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate of a diesel technology or related program.
  • Experience servicing and repairing heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and technical development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Moses Lake, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $104000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
