Job Title: Plumber

Job Description

This role focuses on retrofitting and upgrading plumbing systems in existing commercial facilities across the state. You will start by working on a cedar hotel project and then support additional retrofit projects, including large retail locations, primarily in the eastern half of the state. You will work with existing plumbing infrastructure, replacing and upgrading components while keeping systems operational and compliant.

Responsibilities

  • Retrofit existing plumbing systems in commercial properties, including hotels and large retail stores.
  • Work on a cedar hotel project at a major resort, ensuring plumbing systems remain functional while upgrades are completed.
  • Travel to multiple commercial sites across the state, primarily in the eastern region, to perform plumbing retrofits.
  • Assess existing plumbing systems, identify necessary repairs or replacements, and plan work to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Remove, replace, and upgrade piping, fixtures, and related components within existing plumbing systems.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and mechanical plans to complete plumbing modifications accurately.
  • Apply commercial plumbing best practices to ensure all work meets applicable codes and safety standards.
  • Use mechanical tools and equipment to install, adjust, and secure piping and plumbing components.
  • Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to coordinate work and maintain safe, efficient project timelines.
  • Manage and document work performed by recording work orders and updates in computer-based systems.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor on job sites and represent the company with a high level of workmanship and reliability.

Essential Skills

  • Active P1 or P2 plumbing license.
  • 15+ years of commercial plumbing experience.
  • Strong proficiency in plumbing system installation, repair, and retrofit work.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience working with piping systems in commercial construction and retrofit environments.
  • Mechanical aptitude and skill in using plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Demonstrated professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct on job sites.
  • Ability to work with existing plumbing systems while replacing and upgrading components.
  • Competence in using computers to record work orders and document completed tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various commercial sites, primarily in the eastern half of the state.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with hotel or hospitality plumbing systems.
  • Experience in working on large retail or big-box store plumbing projects.
  • New construction plumbing experience, which can support understanding of retrofit challenges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for working within existing infrastructure and constraints.
  • Ability to coordinate with other trades and adapt to changing site conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
