Looking for coverage primarily for phlebotomy in both a hospital and clinic setting but may also be assigned to specimen processing. Must be flexible to work on weekends and as an on call/per diem employee during the week. No guaranteed hours, but hours are available if applicant is flexible, may be last minute shifts.

Role & Coverage Overview Position supports Zion but also covers clinicals across multiple locations. Candidate must be comfortable bouncing between Zion and clinical sites. Coverage includes South Bay (Otay), East County (El Cajon), and Central areas (Point Loma to Carmel Valley). Schedule & Hours Flexible hours required; shifts are not guaranteed. Possible start times range from 4 AM, 7 AM, or 311 PM. Weekend coverage is ideal. Role Responsibilities Primary need: Phlebo/ Specimen processing. Will work in the ED and float between departments. Experience with pediatrics is a plus. EMR systems used: Certa and EPIC. Bilingual not required, but helpful. Experience & Requirements Prefer 1 year of experience, but open to externs who can be trained and molded. Must have California CPT license. Open question: Are there limitations on contract staff regarding tasks they can perform? Can they perform or be trained on EKGs? Team & Transition Notes Simeon is expected to remain for approximately 30 more days, but can be extended if needed. Goal is to hire and train ASAP before Simeon leaves. Can begin interviewing next week. Prefer inperson interviews, but virtual is possible. One interview with both hiring leaders. Same bill rate as Simeon. Hiring Plan Targeting three candidates in one day for interviews. Looking for someone who can adapt quickly and handle a varied, mobile workflow.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
