Buyer

Requires a BS degree in Business Administration or related degree and a minimum of 5+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate will have specialized experience in purchasing and or contracts. Experience with CAD drawings including knowledge of Automotive and Proto-Type parts required. Expert PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required. SAP Experience required.

Must Have Skills & Experience Core Capabilities:

Strong coordination / project support ability in a fast-moving, changing environment
Ability to manage open purchase orders (POs) and track multiple items simultaneously
Proven skill in working cross-functionally with internal teams (designers, stakeholders) and external suppliers
High attention to detail and ability to stay organized in an R&D setting where priorities shift frequently

Communication & Professional Skills:
Clear, effective verbal and written communication
Comfortable interacting with suppliers and internal customers
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and follow-through
Ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes

Experience Level:
Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience (flexible)
Not suitable for entry-level or brand-new college graduates
Emphasis on capability and adaptability over years of tenure

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
Experience with SAP
Experience with Ariba / SAP Business Network for supplier communication

Industry Background:
Automotive industry experience

Technical Exposure:
Basic CAD drawing interpretation
Ability to view drawings and pull part information
No CAD manipulation required
