Athletic Republic Marietta is looking for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Sports Performance Director / Head Trainer to help lead our new sports performance training center in Marietta, Georgia.


This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is passionate about athlete development and wants the opportunity to help build a high-performing training culture from the ground up.

The Sports Performance Director / Head Trainer will lead the delivery of Athletic Republic's sports performance training programs while helping develop and manage our training staff. You will work directly with youth, middle school, high school, collegiate, adult, and active-aging clients to improve speed, agility, strength, power, movement, conditioning, and overall athletic performance.

We're looking for more than someone who can run a great workout.


We want a coach, leader, teacher, and relationship builder who can develop athletes, mentor trainers, communicate effectively with parents, and help create an exceptional experience for every athlete who walks through our doors.


What You'll Do

  • Lead and deliver Athletic Republic sports performance training programs.
  • Coach athletes in speed, agility, acceleration, strength, power, movement, and conditioning.
  • Manage, schedule, mentor, and develop performance training staff.
  • Conduct athlete assessments and use performance data to guide training recommendations.
  • Monitor athlete progress and communicate results to athletes and parents.
  • Help ensure Athletic Republic training protocols and coaching standards are consistently followed.
  • Lead introductory training sessions, evaluations, and trials for prospective athletes.
  • Build strong relationships with athletes, families, coaches, teams, and community partners.
  • Help drive athlete retention, renewals, referrals, and an outstanding customer experience.
  • Assist with camps, clinics, team training, special events, and community outreach.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Franchise Owner on daily training center operations.
  • Help maintain a professional, organized, clean, safe, and high-energy training environment.


What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Sports Performance, Human Performance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of coaching, sports performance, strength and conditioning, personal training, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to develop and motivate others.
  • Strong understanding of athletic movement and performance development.
  • Energetic and confident coaching individuals and groups.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with youth athletes, adults, parents, coaches, and staff.
  • Organized, dependable, professional, and comfortable using technology.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes afternoons, evenings, and weekends based on athlete training schedules and center needs.


Preferred Qualifications

We are especially interested in candidates with:

  • CSCS, NSCA, NASM-PES, USATF, or comparable sports performance/strength and conditioning certification.
  • Master's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Human Performance, or a related field.
  • Experience managing or mentoring other performance coaches.
  • Experience conducting athlete evaluations and performance testing.
  • Experience with speed and agility development.
  • Experience working with middle school, high school, collegiate, or professional athletes.
  • Baseball and/or softball performance training experience.
  • Experience working in a sports performance facility or strength and conditioning environment.
  • Current CPR/AED certification.

Athletic Republic Training & Certification


The selected candidate will receive extensive training in the Athletic Republic performance training system and will be expected to complete required Athletic Republic certifications.


The selected candidate should be available to begin employment in November 2026 to participate in pre-opening preparation, Athletic Republic training and certification, and the scheduled Athletic Republic Headquarters onsite training visit November 30–December 3, 2026.

Required Athletic Republic certifications include:

  • Level 1 Certification prior to the first day of work
  • Level 2 Certification within the first month of employment
  • Level 3 and ACL Bridge Certifications within the first eight months of employment


The Head Trainer will become proficient in Athletic Republic's training philosophy, protocols, proprietary equipment, assessment technology, and athlete development methodology.


Compensation

Salary: $45,000–$52,000 per year

Starting salary will be based on the candidate's proven experience, education, certifications, leadership background, and sports performance training experience.

Candidates with demonstrated experience leading sports performance programs, developing other coaches, working with competitive athletes, and managing athlete development may qualify toward the higher end of the salary range.

Additional details regarding compensation and opportunities for performance-based incentives will be discussed with qualified candidates during the interview process.
