Job Description
Seeking a Maintenance Technician in Rockwall, TX for a leading manufacturer of high-performance industrial lubricants.
This is a contract opportunity, working a 2-2-3 rotating schedule from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility machinery and mechanical equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility machinery and equipment, following diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.
- Verify completed repairs, and adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications.
- Remove, inspect, and replace defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Maintain technical manuals and documentation to support equipment and controls understanding.
- Control downtime by training production workers on routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories, including placing and expediting orders and verifying receipt.
- Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs within the CMMS to ensure continuity across shifts.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in INDUSTRIAL maintenance operations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with industrial automation controls and electrical troubleshooting, including three-phase motors and 480V systems.
- Mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Basic knowledge of gear pumps, gear reducers, AC motors, and preventive maintenance.
- General welding ability (MIG, ARC, TIG).
