Job Description
The Assembler II will perform mechanical and measurement assembly operations on product components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. The role involves wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable assembly, bonding, potting, and fitting while following manufacturing procedures and blueprint specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and measurement assembly operations on product components and sub-assemblies.
- Perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable assembly, bonding, potting, and mechanical assembly.
- Set up and adjust equipment while maintaining required tolerances and blueprint specifications.
- Complete assigned manufacturing tasks according to schedules, policies, procedures, and work orders.
- Operate equipment used to manufacture parts and materials for ultrasound transducers.
- Complete work orders on schedule to maintain a consistent flow of finished products.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials and adverse manufacturing or equipment conditions.
- Accurately record labor time for work-order operations in the MRP system.
- Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and fixtures.
- Maintain 5S standards and participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement programs.
- Follow manufacturing documentation and established work-order activities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in at least one manufacturing area such as bonding, wiring, or potting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of related experience.
- Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and literacy are a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse manufacturing team.
- Self-managed and highly organized with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
