PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Location: Worthington, OH 43085
Pay Rate: $25.01/hour

JOB SUMMARY

Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and Pharmacy leadership to support prescription fulfillment, IV preparation, medication packaging, billing, inventory, and delivery processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

• Enter prescription and billing information into the computer system and assist with obtaining reimbursement payments.

• Prepackage medications for dispensing in accordance with pharmacy standards and government regulations.

• Assist the Pharmacist with final prescription checking, including staging medications for RPh final review and packaging medications after final review.

• Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers.

• Assist Pharmacy Management with maintaining appropriate inventory practices.

• Receive and rotate incoming medications and supplies.

• Record and maintain medication lot numbers and expiration dates.

• Assist with physical inventory activities.

• Maintain a clean and safe pharmacy work environment.

• Work with the Technician Supervisor to check equipment for proper calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.

• Ability to work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to follow pharmacy standards, procedures, and government regulations.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented pharmacy environment.

PAY & LOCATION

$25.01 per hour
