Regional Supplemental Services is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Chemical Engineer to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of chemical process design, optimization, and troubleshooting within a fast-paced industrial environment. Your expertise will drive efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the development of cutting-edge chemical manufacturing solutions. Must have a degree in Chemical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for industrial manufacturing applications, ensuring efficiency and safety standards are met.
- Utilize process simulation software and CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to create detailed process layouts and engineering drawings.
- Conduct engineering data analysis to identify process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions aligned with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and FDA regulations.
- Lead project scheduling efforts to ensure timely completion of process engineering projects while managing cross-functional teams effectively.
- Apply chemical engineering principles to unit operations, process design, and process engineering tasks within pharmaceutical or industrial chemical manufacturing facilities.
- Collaborate with regulatory teams to ensure compliance with legal standards in production environments and maintain documentation for CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Use data analytics and process simulation software to analyze operational data, optimize processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the development of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), control logic for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation systems.
- Provide technical leadership in manufacturing settings by guiding team members on engineering troubleshooting, process optimization, and best practices in lean manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within chemical or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong knowledge of chemical process design, unit operations, and chemical engineering unit operations.
- Proficiency with process simulation software, CAD tools such as AutoCAD and CAD programs, and engineering data analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory/legal compliance standards including FDA regulations, CGMP guidelines, and pharmaceutical manufacturing practices.
- Hands-on laboratory experience coupled with practical knowledge of manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle project scheduling efficiently while managing multiple priorities.
- Skilled in cross-functional communication, team leadership, and collaborative problem-solving within complex production environments.
- Experience working with piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), process troubleshooting, automation systems including PLCs, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
