LPN- Licensed Vocational Nurse Needs – ASAP!!!

Location:  Denton, TX

Facility:  SSLC /Psych /behavioral

Shifts: AM (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM) and PM (2:00PM to 10:PM) – 8hrs shifts

Length:  6 Months

Start date: (Please Note: The start date commences when all compliance and clearance requirements have been met by the selected candidate)

Number of positions:  8X LVNS!

*Sunday – Saturday

*Shifts are alternating to meet staffing needs.

*Able to start any day during the week, given 5 days before start date for processing all pre-employment requirements.

LVN Pay rate:

Local: $42/hr.

Travel:  ($15/hr taxed + $1160/wk tax-free travel stipend) 1760/40 hrs.

** Must be 50 miles away from permanent residence to qualify for housing allowance**

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Licensed Vocational Nurse at Denton State Supported Living Center performs advanced vocational nursing work.  Provides for the care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals residing at the State Supported Living Center who have intellectual disabilities, complex medical, mental health and/or behavioral health issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide care for patients – manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation,

Perform computer data entry – Receive full training.

Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, ICF-IDD Regulations, DSSLC Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Priority: Active Texas LVN license or compact LVN license accepted.
• Updated resume.
• At least 1 year of experience in psych, behavioral health, IDD, direct care, long-term care, subacute, or related setting required; 2+ years preferred.
• Experience with psych, behavioral health, or IDD population preferred.
• Valid photo ID.
• Social Security card.
• Current BLS or American Heart Association CPR certification.
• Two current supervisor references.
• Physical exam within the last 12 months.
• Negative PPD/TB result within the last 12 months.
• COVID-19 testing with negative result required; facility will provide testing if applicable.
• COVID-19 vaccination card, if applicable.
• Vaccination records or titers for MMR, Hep B, and Varicella.
• Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
• Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check.
