Gastroenterologist – Locum Tenens $455 per hour

Richlands, Virginia | ASAP – Ongoing

HPA Healthcare is seeking a Gastroenterologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Virginia.

This assignment combines outpatient GI, endoscopy procedures, inpatient rounding and nightly beeper call. The opportunity offers a broad general GI procedural mix without an ERCP or EUS requirement.

• Estimated Weekly Pay: Approximately $24,200 + 
• ASAP start
• Ongoing assignment
• Monday–Friday clinical coverage
• Endoscopy + outpatient office
• Inpatient rounding
• Approximately 20–25 patients per shift
• Nightly beeper call
• Approximately 5% callback
• No ERCP required
• No EUS required
• Board Eligible accepted
• Active Virginia license required
• Approximately 30-day credentialing
• Temporary privileges available
• Travel reimbursement available within client guidelines

Schedule

Monday: Endoscopy Suite
Tuesday: Office
Wednesday: Endoscopy Suite
Thursday: ½ Endoscopy / ½ Office
Friday: Endoscopy Suite

The physician also takes night call every night and rounds on hospital consults.

Clinical Scope

The physician will provide inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology coverage, including endoscopy, colonoscopy, biopsy, polypectomy, PEG placement, esophageal dilation, treatment of GI bleeding and other general GI procedures.
