Job Description
We are seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble aircraft components, ensuring correct fit and fastening of parts and sub-assemblies according to customer orders under direct supervision. You will perform routine assembly tasks with minimal assistance, read and assemble per standard work or blueprint instructions, and track and receive required parts for the product area.
Responsibilities- Examine connections for correct fit and fasten parts and sub-assemblies per customer order.
- Perform routine and standard assembly tasks with minimal assistance.
- Read and assemble according to standard work or blueprint instructions with guidance.
- Track and receive required parts for product area and check stock bins for adequate supplies.
- Contact material handler or lead if shortages exist or incorrect parts are found.
- Participate in team stand-ups and use safe ergonomic practices.
- Pack finished products into designated cartons.
- Participate in EHS risk reduction activities and adhere to all rules and codes of conduct.
- Seek ways to eliminate safety hazards and improve workplace safety.
- Provide continuous improvement ideas to support lean and ACE initiatives.
- Perform other job duties as required and be available for overtime.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Capability to operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints with some supervision.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and general labor tasks.
- High School Diploma.
- Proven mechanical capability preferred.
- Willingness to perform any task necessary for on-time product delivery.
- Willingness to cross-train and work in all areas of assembly operation.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to perform hand and body warm-up exercises to minimize potential for repetitive motion injuries.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in a standing position up to 8 hours per day.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.20 - $18.20/hr.
