Job Description
Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Worker
Job Description
This shipping position is inside an established metal fabrication facility and will include a variety of duties such as: receiving incoming materials, unloading trucks and storing materials throughout the facility, preparing finished products for shipping, building crating, and loading trucks for delivery to end customers. You will be responsible for operation forklifts as well as using overhead cranes to move materials as needed.
Responsibilities
- Unload incoming trucks and inspect materials to ensure all orders are accounted for and undamaged
- Store raw materials in storage shelving and in the yard storage areas
- Prepare shipping related documentation including Bills of Lading and shipping labels
- Build crating and load outgoing trucks for delivery to customers.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment on a daily basis
- Take ownership of the shipping and receiving department, demonstrating initiative and working toward a future lead-level responsibility
Essential Skills
- 1 year of general warehousing, receiving, or shipping experience preferred
- Experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes preferred
- Must be comfortable using power tools

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
