Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Analyst for a direct hire opportunity in San Juan, PR within the insurance industry. This role is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys turning business, underwriting, portfolio, financial, and operational data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making.
The Business Analyst will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate performance trends, identify risks and opportunities, and create dashboards, reports, and analytical models that improve visibility across the business. This opportunity offers a collaborative work environment, supportive leadership, and exposure to important initiatives tied to profitability, planning, underwriting performance, and portfolio management.
This is a strong fit for a bilingual analytics professional who wants to make a direct impact on business outcomes while using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel in a stable, professional insurance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business, underwriting, portfolio, financial, and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical models using Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
- Evaluate profitability, business performance, and key metrics to support strategic planning and management decisions.
- Translate complex data findings into clear insights, summaries, and recommendations for leadership and business partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on reporting, budgeting, planning, portfolio analysis, and operational initiatives.
- Support ad hoc analysis and data-driven projects that improve visibility, decision-making, and business outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Location: San Juan, PR.
