Job Description

Job Description

As a Behavior Technician, you'll play an important role in helping children with autism build meaningful skills, increase independence, and reach their individual goals. You'll work directly with clients in a supportive, team-based environment under the guidance of experienced clinical professionals.

Your day-to-day work will involve providing individualized ABA therapy, building positive relationships with clients, implementing treatment strategies, and helping children develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.

We're looking for someone who is patient, dependable, energetic, and genuinely enjoys working with children. Because our clients may have higher support needs, this position requires someone who is comfortable providing hands-on support and following individualized care plans.

What You'll Do

  • Provide one-on-one and small-group ABA therapy based on each client's individualized treatment plan.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children while creating a fun and engaging therapy environment.
  • Help clients develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.
  • Follow treatment plans and clinical direction provided by the supervising clinical team.
  • Observe client behavior and use appropriate strategies to support learning and positive behavior.
  • Collect accurate data during therapy sessions and maintain timely documentation.
  • Share important client updates, progress, and concerns with supervisors and the clinical team.
  • Work closely with parents, caregivers, coworkers, and supervisors to support consistent care.
  • Assist clients with daily living and personal care needs when required, including hygiene, toileting, dressing, meals, and other activities outlined in their treatment plan.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming therapy environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and team meetings.
  • Follow all company policies regarding client safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA.
  • Accept feedback and work collaboratively with the clinical team to provide the best possible care for each client.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who is compassionate, enthusiastic, reliable, and comfortable working with children who may have significant support needs. Previous ABA experience is helpful, but we're also open to candidates who have strong pediatric or childcare experience and are eager to learn.

This position is a great fit for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children and making a difference in their lives.
  • Is patient, energetic, and comfortable being active throughout the day.
  • Can follow directions and implement individualized treatment strategies.
  • Is comfortable working with children with autism and higher support needs.
  • Communicates professionally with families and team members.
  • Is dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance.
  • Is open to learning and receiving feedback from clinical supervisors.

Schedule & Pay

We offer flexible scheduling with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

  • Hours of operation: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Full-time and part-time schedules available
  • Scheduling options designed to accommodate different availability
  • Weekly pay
  • Ongoing training and professional development

Important Information

This is a high-acuity pediatric ABA environment. Candidates must be comfortable working with autistic children who may have higher support needs and individualized care plans. The position may involve behavioral support, hands-on assistance, and personal care responsibilities.

For California Applicants:

We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable federal, state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance (FCIHO), Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers (ULAC), The San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance (FCO) , and the California Fair Chance Act (CFCA).

This position is subject to a background check based on its job duties, which may include patient care, working with vulnerable populations, access to financial and confidential information, driving, working with heavy machinery, or working in a warehouse or laboratory environment. Due to these job duties, this position has a significant impact on the business operations and reputation, as well as the safety and well-being of individuals who may be cared for as part of the job position or who may interact with staff or clients.
