Job Description
This role focuses on assembling and testing servo motors in a factory-based assembly line environment. You will use hand and power tools, follow detailed manufacturing test procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the manufacturing process. The position involves both electronic and mechanical assembly work, including reading and interpreting schematics and mechanical drawings, operating production tooling and fixtures, and ensuring high-quality standards for all finished products.
Responsibilities- Assemble and test servo motors in accordance with established manufacturing test procedures.
- Use hand and power tools to perform electronic and mechanical assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings to assemble components accurately.
- Place parts in specified relationships to each other as sub-assemblies or final assemblies by soldering, using clips, screws, or other fasteners, following blueprints or schematics.
- Perform soldering, hand brazing, or induction brazing as required for specific assemblies.
- Operate machine tools, production tooling, and fixtures to complete assembly tasks.
- Rotate between different workstations as production needs require to support overall workflow.
- Assist with packaging products into individual boxes and cases and placing them on skids for shipment.
- Inspect and gauge finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications.
- Make tooling adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Handle and move supplies and materials safely throughout the production area.
- Verify that outside labels and unit labels match for all packaged parts to ensure accurate identification.
- Follow work instructions and production documentation to maintain consistent assembly and testing processes.
- Perform daily and weekly safety checks on equipment and report any issues promptly.
- Clean equipment and work areas regularly to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient production environment.
- Electronic and/or mechanical assembly experience.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with machine tool operations and the operation of production tooling and fixtures.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for assembly work.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical assembly processes.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing test procedures.
- Capability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing for the duration of the shift, bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Ability to read, understand, and speak English to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Attention to detail for inspecting, gauging, and verifying labels and parts.
- Comfort working in a factory, assembly line environment with running production equipment.
- Soldering experience is a plus but not required.
- Experience with soldering, hand brazing, or induction brazing is beneficial.
- Background in electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, or electronics is advantageous.
- Familiarity with pneumatics and installation work is helpful.
- Experience working on an assembly line or in a general labor production role.
- Comfort with packaging, labeling, and preparing products for shipment.
- Ability to contribute ideas for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a factory setting with an assembly line environment where production equipment runs throughout the shift, which may include typical industrial smells and sounds. You will work around electronic and mechanical components, servo motors, and production tooling and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools on a regular basis. The role requires standing for most of the shift, lifting up to 30 lbs, and performing repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, and reaching. The workspace includes multiple workstations, and you may rotate between them depending on production needs. The environment emphasizes cleanliness and safety, with regular equipment checks and routine cleaning of work areas to maintain an orderly and safe production floor.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Ulm, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
