Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description
The Rework Operator plays a critical role in supporting warehouse operations by inspecting, repairing, and reworking steel tubes and materials that do not initially meet quality or shipping standards. This position ensures product accuracy, quality, and timely shipment to customers.
Responsibilities
- Inspect steel tubes and finished products for damage, defects, or quality issues.
- Perform rework tasks such as grinding, labeling, banding, repainting, or repackaging.
- Remove or correct defective materials before shipment.
- Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and accurately.
- Assist with staging, sorting, and organizing materials in the warehouse.
- Document rework activities and communicate issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all safety procedures.
Essential Skills
- Experience in general labor, hand tools, packaging, production, and quality control.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Comfortable working around steel products and industrial equipment.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or rework experience preferred.
- Ability to perform visual inspections and follow work instructions.

Work Environment
The facility operates in an industrial and fast-paced steel manufacturing environment, often involving tube mills, heavy machinery, and material handling equipment. Employees work efficiently and safely under time-sensitive conditions. The role is physically demanding, requiring standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials (50+ lbs), and working in areas with noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations. Some buildings may be cold and drafty in winter, especially in shipping and receiving areas. Collaboration across departments is common, and teamwork is essential.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.
