Job Description
The Site Cage Manager is responsible for overseeing all cage operations, internal controls, and financial activities to ensure the protection of company assets and compliance with Laguna Development Corporation (LDC), Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority (TGRA), and Gaming Control Board regulations. This position manages critical functions including W2-G reporting, bank deposits and transfers, drop cash transfers, daily cash reconciliations, variance investigations, bankroll management, budgeting, forecasting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting. The Site Cage Manager ensures operational efficiency by coordinating cage activities, maintaining adequate staffing levels, scheduling cashiers, ordering equipment and supplies, monitoring transactions, and implementing corrective actions when needed. The role requires extensive knowledge of large-scale cage operations, gaming regulations, accounting processes, money handling procedures, and federal, state, and tribal reporting requirements while regularly communicating operational and financial updates to executive leadership.
In addition to operational and financial oversight, the Site Cage Manager serves as a key leader responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, scheduling, evaluating, and developing supervisors, leads, and cage employees. The position requires strong leadership, communication, customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while fostering a professional, collaborative, and guest-focused environment. The manager is expected to uphold LDC's Core Values, participate in leadership development programs, maintain positive relationships with guests and employees, and provide exceptional customer service through professional interactions and team engagement. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 3-5 years of relevant experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, Kronos, Paramount, and cash-handling equipment, as well as strong mathematical and analytical abilities. The position operates primarily in a casino environment with exposure to cigarette smoke and requires the ability to work flexible schedules, pass pre-employment screenings and background investigations, maintain a gaming license and valid New Mexico driver's license, and obtain Title 31 certification in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act.
