About the OpportunityCOMPANY is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to support Advanced Power Generation (APG) projects within the Power Providers market sector. This role works closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop critical infrastructure projects, including site development, grading and drainage, erosion control, roadways, fencing, and underground utilities.
The Senior Engineering Technician will lead design efforts and support the development of high-quality engineering deliverables using industry-standard tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, and Bentley OpenPlant Modeler.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support technical design activities for complex infrastructure projects.
- Create, modify, and maintain engineering drawings and project deliverables.
- Establish and enforce design standards, quality requirements, and best practices.
- Review designs and deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to support project execution and schedules.
- Perform design calculations, material takeoffs, estimates, and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
- Support process improvements and continuous enhancement of design workflows.
Required
- Associate Degree in Drafting, Engineering Design Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 11 years of related engineering design or drafting experience.
- Advanced experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, and/or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of engineering design standards, documentation, and quality control practices.
- Ability to lead technical design efforts and mentor junior staff.
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Design Technology or related field.
- Experience supporting power generation, utility, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
