Job Title: R&D Operations Technician

Location: Acton, MA

Pay Rate: $38/hr on W2

Summary:

We are seeking an R&D Operations Technician II to support R&D teams with equipment, devices, inventory, and operational support. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, independent, and demonstrates natural leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, configure, deploy, recover, and maintain R&D equipment and devices.
• Manage inventory, asset records, assignments, locations, and lifecycle tracking.
• Receive shipments, label/tag equipment, and maintain organized stockrooms and staging areas using 5S principles.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, configuration checks, and equipment readiness activities.
• Coordinate repairs, replacements, calibration, and maintenance with appropriate teams.
• Track service requests, communicate status and delays, and ensure timely follow-through.
• Create and maintain process guides, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Support inventories, audits, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience, or associate/technical degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in equipment support, inventory/asset management, technical support, laboratory, engineering, or R&D operations preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple requests, and take ownership of standard work.
• Comfortable learning new systems, applications, and workflows.
• Basic knowledge of mobile devices, applications, troubleshooting, and common office tools.
• Ability to lift and handle up to 30 lbs.

This is an onsite role in Acton, MA. Strong soft skills, customer service orientation, independence, and leadership qualities are essential.
