MECHANICAL CAD/REVIT DRAFTER

A well-established and growing Spokane engineering firm has hired Aspen Personnel Service to help them find an experienced Mechanical CAD/Revit Drafter to join their collaborative engineering team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of drafting experience who enjoys detailed technical work and wants to continue developing their skills while working on a variety of commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, municipal and institutional projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and update mechanical and HVAC drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Prepare equipment layouts, schedules, details, sections and diagrams
• Turn engineering sketches, markups and design concepts into accurate construction documents
• Develop ductwork, piping, equipment and mechanical room layouts
• Make drawing revisions throughout design, permitting, bidding and construction
• Prepare complete drawing packages for permitting, clients and contractors
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing and civil teams
• Identify potential drawing conflicts and coordination issues
• Incorporate engineer, client and contractor revisions into project documents
• Maintain organized drawing files, revision histories and document control
• Review work for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with maintaining CAD/Revit standards, templates and families

Skills and Experience:

• 2–3+ years of CAD/Revit drafting experience
• Experience working within engineering, architecture, MEP consulting or construction preferred
• Previous experience producing construction documents required
• Mechanical/HVAC building systems experience preferred
• Proficiency with Revit
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Basic understanding of HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping and construction documentation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering markups, specifications and architectural backgrounds
• BIM experience a plus
• Associate degree or technical certificate in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

Full Time:

• Monday – Friday
• On-Site

Compensation:

• $55K – $65K DOE
