Senior Buyer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Buyer with the ability to effectively support projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will manage open purchase orders and track multiple items efficiently while working cross-functionally with both internal teams and external suppliers.

• Manage and track open purchase orders (POs) for multiple items concurrently.
• Work cross-functionally with designers, stakeholders, and external suppliers.
• Maintain high attention to detail and organization in an R&D setting with frequently shifting priorities.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with suppliers and internal customers.
• Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and ensure follow-through on tasks.
• Learn and adapt to new systems and processes as required.

• Proficiency in procurement, purchasing, purchase order management, and supply chain management.
• Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Specialized experience in purchasing and/or contracts.
• Knowledge of CAD drawings, particularly in the context of automotive and prototype parts.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other technical software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• SAP and ERP systems experience.
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing.

• Strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience.
• Engineering background is a plus.
• Ability to travel and work overtime as necessary.

This position is based in a cubicle/office environment operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility in start and end times. The role may require wearing Honda uniforms and offers a long-term opportunity with benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.

This is a Contract position based out of Raymond, OH.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $46.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
