Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 3+ years of experience to provide rehabilitative care across patient populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric.

Details

• Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 5pm
• Rehabilitation therapy department providing physical therapy services
• Treats patients across the lifespan, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general populations

Requirements

• CA license required if applicable
• Minimum 3 years of physical therapy experience preferred
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
• Knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques as related to rehabilitative equipment and practice
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office applications

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, treatment, and reassessment per policy, including evaluating treatment effectiveness and recommending changes to physicians as needed
• Coordinates and directs patient care, collaborating with physicians, nursing, and other healthcare providers
• Provides patient and family education as part of the plan of care
• Trains hospital staff and departmental personnel through on-the-job training
• Maintains equipment safely, ensures department cleanliness, and complies with safety inspections
• Adheres to dress code and wears identification badge while on duty
• Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all regulatory and organizational policies
