Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Vascular Surgery unit, requiring 2+ years of Vascular/Endovascular experience and ARRT certification.
Details
- Level 1 trauma acute care setting within the Vascular Surgery unit
- One procedure suite averaging 3 cases per day
- Common cases include Endovascular (IR) and Vascular procedures
- Uses EPIC EMR
- 10-hour day shifts with call requirements
- Weeknight call 1-2 nights per week
- Weekend call required every 3rd weekend, Saturday 7am to Monday 7am
- Holiday call rotation required
- Call response time of 30 minutes
- May float within like units and assist with Surgical Tech duties
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience with Vascular/Endovascular procedures
- ARRT certification required (RCIS not accepted)
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- IR experience preferred but not required
- Experience with GE equipment required
- Scrubbing experience required, including room setup and takedown
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include scrubbing, passing supplies, and setting up/breaking down procedure rooms
- Charge Nurse and/or House Supervisor present on each shift
- Unit-specific orientation includes one week of scrubbing alongside a hospital surgical tech
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- Negative drug screen required for all panels
- Local candidates considered, with reduced rates for those within 50 miles of the facility
- No radius restriction for eligibility
