Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings as part of ongoing patient assessment
• Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health records system
• Float to another unit when census is low or a greater staffing need exists on another unit
• Fulfill holiday coverage requirements, including one summer and one winter holiday
• Complete orientation modules as directed; modules completed within the first 8 hours of orientation are non-billable

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active RN license required at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• PA Fingerprints required; must be completed within 1 week of contract signing
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard travel rates; candidates within 50 miles are subject to a local rate differential

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are accepted)
• Familiarity with telemetry unit workflows and high-acuity patient populations
