Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting with a patient ratio of 4:1, unless assigned to fast track or triage
• Deliver standard emergency nursing care across a 24-bed unit with 4 additional hall beds
• Perform and support ultrasound-guided IV placement as needed
• Document patient care accurately using the MEDHOST electronic medical records system
• Adhere to department scheduling expectations, including blackout periods around Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas week, and New Year's; maximum time-off requests are limited to 3 shifts

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• PALS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• ENPC certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• TNCC certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of emergency nursing experience
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ultrasound-guided IV placement
• Familiarity with MEDHOST EMR platform
