Position Summary:\n
\n
\nThe Sky House Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner. They ensure a clean and well-stocked bar, maintain knowledge of drink recipes and bar equipment, and provide excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience.\n
\n
\nTypical shift is 8:00am-4:30pm and must have open availability during weekends and holidays.\n
\n
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:\n
\n
    \n
  • Customer service, you are the primary contact for a Sky House guest. Greet guests, take drink orders, and provide recommendations while ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Thorough knowledge of our menu is critical.
  • \n
  • ID guests in accordance to Idaho state liquor and identification laws. Monitor guest intoxication and take action or get help, if necessary.
  • \n
  • Prepare and serve beverages, mix, garnish, and serve drinks according to standard recipes or customer specifications. Responsible for ensuring minimal waste by pouring correct measurements.
  • \n
  • Maintain cleanliness by keeping the bar area clean and organized, including glassware, tools, and surfaces, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • \n
  • Monitor and restock bar inventory such as kegs, liquor, mixers, garnishes, and supplies as needed.
  • \n
  • Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently. Turn in accurate deposits with end of shift reports.
  • \n
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude toward guests and coworkers. Assists teammates whenever able.

Specific Job Skills:\n
\n
\n License/Certifications - Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate, we will help you acquire. \n
\n
\n Technical - Basic computer knowledge and comfortable with a computer based point of sale (Squirrel is our current system).\n
\n
\n Physical Capabilities - Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift to 30 lbs. occasionally. Ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level is preferred. Exposed to ice/snow coming to and from work.\n
\n Additional - Strong attention to detail. Must be capable of managing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously. \n

Education/Related Experience:\n
\n
\n Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication; plus basic math.\n
\n
\n Minimum time in related position - Minimum 1+ year bartending experience with demonstrated competence; wine knowledge preferred with demonstrated competence.
