I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Insurance Defense / Coverage Attorney to join an established Phoenix litigation practice with deep roots in Arizona and a strong reputation for sophisticated defense work.

\n

The team has decades of experience representing insurance carriers and other clients in complex litigation, with significant depth in insurance defense, insurance coverage, bad-faith matters, professional liability, and general litigation.

\n

This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced trial attorneys while taking on meaningful responsibility for your own caseload and building long-term earning potential.

What You'll Do

\n

\n
• Handle insurance defense and/or insurance coverage matters from inception through resolution
\n
• Represent insurance carriers and clients in litigation, negotiations, mediations, and other proceedings
\n
• Analyze coverage issues and provide legal guidance regarding insurance claims
\n
• Handle bad-faith litigation and related insurance disputes, depending on experience
\n
• Draft pleadings, motions, coverage opinions, discovery, and other litigation documents
\n
• Take and defend depositions
\n

What We're Looking For

\n

\n
• 3+ years of litigation experience
\n
• Insurance defense, insurance coverage, bad faith, or related litigation experience preferred
\n
• Strong candidates with 15+ years of experience and partners are welcome to apply
\n
• Arizona Bar admission preferred/required based on position
\n
• Strong writing, research, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills
\n
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters
\n
• Strong client-service and case-management skills
\n

• $30,000–$60,000+ bonus potential, with additional upside based on revenue generated
\n
• No traditional hard billable-hour requirement
\n
• Insurance Defense attorneys: approximately 2 days onsite per week
\n
• Coverage attorneys: approximately 2–3 days onsite per month initially, with potential to transition to fully remote
\n
• Manage a meaningful caseload with approximately 10–40 matters, depending on practice area and experience
\n
• Work alongside attorneys with substantial trial experience
\n
• Established Arizona practice with 45+ years of history

Salary and Other Compensation:

\n

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – $165,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may incucation, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

\n

Additional bonus compensation may provide $30,000–$60,000+ in annual earning potential, based on revenue generated and individual performance.
