Angiography Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Angiography Technologist to join our team in a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in interventional radiology and possess the necessary certifications to provide quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform angiographic procedures, including peripheral angiography and venography.
- Set up and maintain equipment, ensuring proper operation and inventory management.
- Monitor patients accurately during procedures and maintain sterile techniques.
- Assist in EKG lead placements and prep access sites as needed.
- Act as the room circulator and maintain a sterile field.
- Utilize vascular closure systems, such as Perclose and StarClose, during procedures.
- Support infection control procedures by following strict sterile techniques.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in interventional radiology required.
- ARRT certification required; WV State License is also needed (may submit with pending status, but must be active prior to start).
- Current BLS certification required; Vascular Intervention Certification preferred.
- Ability to float to a nearby facility as needed for cross-coverage.
- Willingness to work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekdays and weekends.
- Fluency with equipment and operation, particularly PACS and fluoroscopy (Siemens and Ultrasound preferred).
- 4x10 hour shifts, typically Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Average daily census of 7-10 patients.
- Approximately 8 on-call days per month, including 1 weekend.
