POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for proper dining set-up, providing meal and dining services, and cleaning of the dining room.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques.
• Takes meal and drink orders and serves meals in a friendly and timely manner.
• Assures resident and guest satisfaction with meals.
• Maintains knowledge of daily specials and menu offerings.
• Maintains assigned tables and surrounding areas in a complete state of cleanliness and readiness.
• Follows daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Assists with orientation and training of new food servers.
• Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Sets up and cleans the dining room while maintaining hospitality and service standards.
• Maintains standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
• Performs opening and closing checklist duties.
• Assists in dining room organization and supplies placement.
• Other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in dining services preferred.
• Experience working with seniors preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, guests, and team members.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and procedures.
• Demonstrates customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Ability to respond promptly to resident needs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
