As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be an important part of both patient care and the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy. Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications

  • Evaluate prescriptions for appropriate dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic outcomes

  • Perform Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR) to promote safe and effective medication use

  • Counsel patients and caregivers on medications, potential side effects, proper use, and general health management

  • Administer immunizations in accordance with Wisconsin requirements and pharmacy protocols

  • Build strong relationships with patients by providing knowledgeable, friendly, and personalized service

  • Collaborate with prescribers, healthcare providers, and other members of the care team to support positive patient outcomes

  • Respond to medication and clinical questions from patients and healthcare professionals

  • Maintain accurate patient medication profiles and pharmacy records

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, including requirements related to controlled substances

  • Support efficient pharmacy workflow and cost-effective operations

  • Work closely with pharmacy technicians and other team members to ensure patients receive timely, high-quality service

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to pharmacy technicians and support staff

  • Help maintain a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused work environment

Schedule

This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20–28 hours per week.

The position also includes participation in an every other Saturday rotation.

We are looking for someone who values a consistent part-time schedule while still being an active and dependable member of the pharmacy team.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree

  • Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the State of Wisconsin

  • Current certification and eligibility to administer immunizations in Wisconsin

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous retail or community pharmacy experience

  • 3+ years of pharmacy experience preferred, but not required

  • Experience supporting or providing direction to pharmacy technicians and staff

  • Experience with pharmacy workflow, process improvement, or quality initiatives

  • Experience with pharmacy systems such as RX30 or Pioneer is a plus

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is helpful

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position works in a retail pharmacy environment and requires regular standing, walking, and movement throughout the shift. The employee must be able to lift up to 20 pounds as needed and maintain patient confidentiality, professional standards, and ethical pharmacy practices at all times.
