Resident Care Assistant

Rivercrest Place Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable team member to provide supportive care and assistance to residents in a respectful, person-centered environment. In this role, you will help promote comfort, safety, and independence while contributing to a positive daily experience for each resident. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys helping others, communicates effectively, and works well as part of a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities while promoting independence and dignity.
• Provide support with mobility, positioning, and transfers according to care guidelines.
• Offer companionship and respond to resident needs in a timely and respectful manner.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
• Support mealtime routines, hydration, and dietary preferences as directed.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or needs to appropriate team members.
• Follow established care plans, safety procedures, and facility policies.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks and resident room organization as needed.
• Document care activities accurately and promptly when required.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and support staff to ensure consistent resident care.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing respectful resident support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow directions, care plans, and established procedures.
• Good observation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed.
• Physical ability to assist with resident care tasks, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting or repositioning.
• Prior experience in a care setting is preferred, but not always required.
• Willingness to complete any required training or certifications.
