Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) MAT - CalAIM

Overview

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment and data collection of patients’ physical, psychological, and social dimensions in the correctional health setting.
• Plan and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare practitioners and nursing staff.
• Administer medications, including daily MAT medications, and complete required medication counts and documentation.
• Obtain diagnostic tests, perform labs, drug screens, EKGs, and assist with medical or minor surgical procedures as ordered.
• Document nursing encounters, communicate patient information, and respond to health emergencies in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

Experience

• One (1) or more years clinic experience preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state employed.
• Current CPR certification
