Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized respiratory care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities include assessing patients’ respiratory status, providing oxygen and breathing therapies, administering respiratory medications and treatments, monitoring patients’ response to therapy, and identifying changes that require medical attention. The RT works closely with nurses, physicians, and the rehabilitation team to develop and deliver individualized respiratory care plans, educate patients on respiratory management, and support recovery. Encompass Health’s current Moline posting lists the role as PRN/pool with day and night shifts.

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current Illinois Respiratory Therapy license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• ACLS preferred

• 2 years of hospital Respiratory Therapy experience preferred
• Acute-care, hospital-based, or inpatient rehabilitation respiratory experience is advantageous
• Experience providing breathing treatments, medical gas therapy, respiratory assessments, and related interventions preferred.
