Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and med/surg telemetry conditions
• Read and interpret telemetry strips; telemetry monitor techs are present on the unit but RNs are required to independently read strips
• Manage patients requiring respiratory support including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Float to all med/surg units as needed
• Work every other weekend and participate in required holiday coverage

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry/cardiac monitor strips
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and required holidays
• Willingness to float to all med/surg units as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with caring for patients on CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow oxygen
• Experience working with patient care technicians (PCTs) in a team-based care model
