What You’ll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you'll help our clinical team provide an excellent patient experience while supporting day-to-day patient care.
- Greet patients and collect intake information
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for visits
- Assist providers with patient care and dermatology procedures
- Perform point-of-care testing and other clinical tasks
- Document/scribe for the physician during patient visits
- Handle patient phone calls and clinical correspondence
- Assist with faxing, records and other office duties
- Support the physicians, nurses and clinical team as needed
- Help deliver safe, efficient and compassionate patient care
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- Medical Assistant certification through an accredited training program or EMT certification
- BLS/Healthcare Provider CPR certification
- Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a high-volume medical setting
- Ability to read, write and understand medical terminology
- Strong patient-service and communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced environment
- EMR/EHR experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
