Behavior Technician (BT) - Kinston, North Carolina

Job Summary:
We're seeking a part-time and full-time BT to join our team of dedicated professionals. As aBT, you'll provide 1-on-1 direct care to children with autism in their homes, teaching daily living and social skills using evidence-based treatments and positive reinforcement. You'll work closely with a supervising BCBA to implement skill acquisition and behavior intervention plans, and collect accurate data to track progress.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1-on-1 direct care to children with autism at the client's home
Teach daily living and social skills using evidence-based treatments and positive reinforcement
Establish relationships with clients to assess interests and motivators to effectively implement behavior plans
Directly implement skill acquisition and behavior intervention plans written by a supervising BCBA
Collect accurate data for all treatment plans and behavior programs, which is then provided to the BCBA for analysis
Serve in a direct care role, consulting the BCBA regularly for additional support, training, and supervision
Adjust interventions and/or intervention methods as instructed by the supervising BCBA when necessary
Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of each intervention and plan in place for each client on their caseload and those on assigned team
Maintain RBT credentials by completing the RBT Competency Assessment annually as per BACB guidelines
Receive and accurately track BT supervision hours to maintain internal and external compliance
Collaborate and participate in clinical team meetings and ongoing training
Ensure all Sessions are accurately documented, signed, and submitted for timely billing
Requirements:
Ability to perform physical tasks, including prolonged periods of walking, running, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and stooping
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Strong communication skills for speaking with clients' families and writing session notes
Confident interpersonal skills for interactions with clients' families
Must have a driver's license/access to transportation
Must be a motivated team player, and exercise patience/professionalism
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Must have verifiable work references and pass a background check
