Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department, including cleaning, laundry, and disinfecting

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, guests, and staff

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and teamwork

• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures

• Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and other resources

• Perform regular inspections of resident rooms and units to ensure sanitation, order, and safety

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and staff

Working Conditions

• Works in all areas of the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and laundry facilities

• May be required to work beyond normal working hours, including weekends and holidays

• Is subject to frequent interruptions, hostile and emotionally upset residents, and exposure to chemicals and infectious waste

• Must be able to lift, bend, and move intermittently during working hours

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Must be able to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public

• Must maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas and perform regular inspections of resident rooms and units
