Job Description
Join Our Team as a Janitor at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort!

When a guest walks into the lodge, whether it's six in the morning before a tee time or late after dinner, everything is clean, stocked, and ready. That's your work. As a Janitor at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, you'll keep our offices and lodge spaces, from the lobby to the spa and locker rooms, clean, safe, and comfortable for the guests and coworkers who use them every day. It's steady, hands-on work, and people notice when it's done well. This role includes driving resort vehicles between buildings, so a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.

Important: Driver's License & MVR Requirement

A valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required for this position. Driving resort vehicles between buildings is an essential part of the job. All candidates who receive a conditional offer must pass an MVR check, in addition to our required drug screen and background check.

Your driving record must meet our insurance requirements for operating resort vehicles. If your driving history may prevent you from meeting those requirements, please consider this before applying.

About Bandon Dunes Golf Resort:
Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. The resort is also home to two 'Courses with a Mission': Bandon Preserve, an award-winning par-3 course, and Shorty's, which opened in 2024. All net proceeds from both courses fund the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation, supporting communities along the South Coast of Oregon.

Beyond premier golf, guests delight in a variety of dining options at Bandon Dunes’ collection of restaurants. Whether you're looking to enjoy locally-sourced, Pacific-Northwest cuisine accompanied by an award-winning wine list or prefer kicking back in a Scottish-style setting with traditional pub fare and local microbrews, there is something for everyone.

Working at Bandon Dunes is a dream for golf fans, outdoor enthusiasts, and hospitality professionals alike. The Bandon Dunes team works together to create trips of a lifetime for our guests. We are passionate stewards of our resort, community, and environment. As an endlessly curious group, we ask questions, share ideas, and always look for a better way. With a hard-working attitude, we help guide our guests through their pure golf experience, immersed in Oregon’s natural beauty and away from the demands of daily life.
What You’ll Do:
  • Keep the lodge’s shared spaces guest-ready. You'll clean offices, hallways, and other common areas and empty the trash throughout, so everyone who walks through the door finds the place looking its best.
  • Take care of floors and furniture. You'll vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors, run shampoo machines on carpets and upholstery, and dust and polish fixtures and metalwork.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms and locker rooms. Toilets, sinks, mirrors, and tile all get thorough attention every shift. This is the work guests and coworkers rely on most.
  • Keep linens and supplies moving. You'll stock your cart with supplies, linens, and towels, collect soiled linens from the spa and locker rooms, and wash, dry, and fold laundry as needed.
  • Handle the deeper cleaning. On a schedule, you'll wash walls, ceilings, and windows and move furniture to reach the spots a routine clean doesn't.
  • Spot problems and speak up. A burned-out bulb, a leaky faucet, a damaged fixture: you'll report what you see so it gets fixed quickly, and you'll follow our safety guidelines while you work.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
  • You show up. The team counts on you being there on time for every scheduled shift, whatever the hour.
  • You care about the details. You notice the smudge on the mirror and the corner that got missed, and you fix it without being asked.
  • You can switch gears. Some shifts go to plan and some don't. You can move between tasks and keep a steady pace when it gets busy.
  • You're comfortable talking with people. You'll cross paths with guests and coworkers, and a friendly, professional word goes a long way.
  • Experience helps, but it isn’t required. If you've worked in a hotel or resort, great. If not, a strong work ethic and a good attitude matter more, and we'll teach you the rest.
A Few Things to Know:
  • Shifts vary. You may be scheduled for days, evenings, or overnights and weekends are part of the schedule. The position is full-time and year-round.
  • A valid driver's license is required. You'll drive resort vehicles during your shift, so you need a current license and a driving record that meets our insurance requirements.
  • Job offers depend on three checks. Any offer is contingent on passing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, drug screen and a background check. We'd rather you know that now than after you've put time into applying.
  • The work is physical. You'll be on your feet and moving for most of the shift, indoors and outdoors, and you'll work with cleaning chemicals. Safety is a priority here.
Perks and Benefits for Full Time Employees:
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Enjoy a well-rounded benefits package that covers your health, wellness, and financial future.
  • Paid Time Off: Take the time you need to relax and recharge with our PTO plan.
  • Free Golf Privileges: Tee off at some of the most iconic courses in the world with complimentary golf access.
  • Quarterly Incentives: When our team meets resort-wide performance goals, we get rewarded.
  • Complimentary Lunch: Stay energized with a complimentary lunch in our Staff Cafe during your shift.
  • Resort Discounts: Save on dining and merchandise throughout the resort.
  • Supportive Work Environment: Be part of a team that supports your growth and success, with opportunities to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Career Growth: Take advantage of continuous training and development opportunities to advance your career.

If you like finishing a shift knowing the place is better than you found it, and the schedule and screening requirements above work for you, we'd like to hear from you. Apply today.

At Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, we are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
