Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in an unspecified location. Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) administered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Candidates should have completed an accredited program in health science, such as cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing, or paramedic/EMT. No minimum years of experience is specified. Candidates must be able to work onsite and travel reliably between locations, with an on-call component requiring arrival within a 30-minute window.
- Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Assist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, prepare and stock procedure rooms, verify patient identity, collect medical history, guide and calm patients during exams, select imaging protocols, organize patient information and images in electronic medical recordkeeping and imaging systems, conduct daily quality checks, and practice radiation safety and infection control principles.
- Additional Information: The position involves frequent standing and walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and assisting with patient positioning and equipment movement. Training and assessment opportunities related to ACLS will be provided.
