Box Truck Driver

AJG Enterprise Corp is expanding our logistics team and looking for a reliable, safety-focused Box Truck Driver to keep our freight moving. If you have at least two years of experience behind the wheel, a clean driving record, and take pride in on-time, damage-free deliveries, we have a company-owned 26-foot truck ready for you. We run a fully DOT and CHP-compliant operation, meaning you get safe equipment, clear expectations, and competitive per-mile pay with extra earning potential for detention and unloading.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely operate a 26-foot company-owned box truck for regional freight pick-up and delivery.
• Secure all cargo using straps, braces, and tie-downs in strict accordance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) for Hours-of-Service compliance, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Perform basic on-the-road vehicle maintenance (checking oil, tire pressure, etc.).
• Communicate proactively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers on delivery routes.

What You Bring to the Driver’s Seat

• Experience: 2+ years of verified experience driving a box truck or similar commercial vehicle.
• Licensing: Standard driver's license is required; CDL Class B with air-brake endorsement is highly preferred.
• Safety Record: A clean MVR with no major violations in the last 3 years.
• Compliance: Must possess (or pass) a current DOT medical exam (CMV IF 150) and pass all DOT-compliant drug and alcohol screenings (pre-employment and random). Must meet California Highway Patrol (CHP) intrastate commercial standards.
• Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and performing repetitive loading/unloading tasks.
• Schedule: Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as route volume requires.

Compensation & Equipment

• Competitive Pay: $0.45 – $0.65 per mile, negotiable based on experience and CDL endorsements.
• Bonus Opportunities: Additional accessorial pay available for detention, layovers, and loading/unloading.
• The Equipment: You will drive a company-owned, fully insured, ELD-equipped box truck (no need to use your personal vehicle for any business operations).
