Job Description

About You

You are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with construction documents, schedules, and numbers. You know that a successful commercial project depends on clear communication and keeping every detail on track from contract to completion.

You can manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders at once. You communicate clearly, ask questions when information is incomplete, and work well with general contractors, architects, designers, and internal teams.

Most importantly, you take ownership of your work. You understand that how a project is managed affects every department involved, and you're committed to keeping projects moving, solving problems early, and delivering what Greyloch promises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage awarded commercial cabinetry, casework, and millwork projects from estimating to completion
  • Review contracts, plans, specifications, and estimates to confirm scope, inclusions, exclusions, and project requirements
  • Lead the handoff from estimating to project execution and communicate scope and requirements to engineering, purchasing, and production
  • Build and maintain project schedules that align with the general contractor's timeline and Greyloch's production capacity
  • Prepare, submit, and track submittals, shop drawings, samples, and finish selections
  • Submit and track RFIs and communicate with contractors, architects, and designers to resolve questions
  • Coordinate field measurements and site verification
  • Identify scope changes, work with estimating to price change orders, and document approvals
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Operations on material availability, lead times, and production status
  • Schedule and coordinate deliveries and installation with general contractors and install teams
  • Track project budgets, costs, and billing milestones
  • Attend project meetings and provide clear, timely status updates to customers and internal teams
  • Manage punch lists, closeout documentation, and warranty items
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with general contractors, builders, architects, designers, and other commercial partners
  • Collaborate across departments to identify and solve potential challenges before they affect the project
  • Follow Greyloch processes and Core Values while looking for ways to improve project delivery

Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, construction, cabinetry, millwork, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, construction plans, elevations, specifications, and schedules
  • Working knowledge of the commercial construction process, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, and the ability to learn project management and manufacturing software
  • Comfortable communicating with contractors, architects, designers, vendors, and internal departments
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Cabinetry, casework, millwork, or commercial construction experience

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means delivering commercial projects that are on time, on budget, and built right. The Commercial Project Manager understands the full scope of what Greyloch has committed to, keeps every team aligned, identifies risks early, and makes sure the customer has a smooth experience from award to closeout.

You don't just manage the schedule. You make sure Greyloch delivers what we promise.
