Teacher Assistant

Teacher Assistant needed Monday- Friday, 35 hours/ week to work in Elementary school self-contained classroom settings.

Ongoing, full time employment positions are available in SPED classrooms for dedicated and compassionate child caregivers. Special Education TA’s provide support to students and teachers in inclusive classrooms and can be a rewarding experience for those who enjoy helping their community.

Required: Must have recent paraprofessional experience working in an elementary school SPED education setting

Job Duties

• Assistant students with completing tasks
• Develop curriculum and lesson plans
• Provide one-on-one student assistance
• Adapt classroom materials and activities
• Monitor student progress and performance
• Maintain classroom organization and safety
• Lead classroom activities
• Student assessment

• CPR/ 1st Aid
• Fingerprint Clearance card
• CPI
• Organization skills
• Communication skills
• Must be dependable

Qualified candidates must have minimum 1 year recent experience working with children in education or behavioral health setting.
